Obviously the users love to own new handsets introduced in the market, but, what do they do with the old phone? Throw off! But that’s probably not the right way to get rid of your old handset! Recent research suggests that it could take as long as thousands of years for an old mobile and its battery inside to fully break down. Also, the mobile phones contain some of the most hazardous chemicals known to man and these can be damaging to the environment if released through being discarded in landfill sites.

So the best way to get rid of your old handset is mobile recycling! Most of the phone retailers are supporting the process of phone recycling by means of recycle bins which can be used by the user to put down their old or discarded handsets. There is one more way of phone recycling! Many mobile recycling sites now allow users to not only dispose of old mobile phones and you also get paid for the same or you can get a new phone just by paying the difference amount! Such process of phone recycling is very beneficial & apt for such handset users who are habitual of changing their handsets time & again!

So now if you plan to switch to a new mobile handset, you know how to get rid of your old one!

  1. There are now lots of ways you can recycle your old mobile phone and indeed some of which you have highlighted such as via your network provider, whether through a specially designated service or through exchange. But there are other ways too! Many charities, now include drop-in bins at there stores and there are also a number of online Mobile Phone Recycling companies operating in the UK. Whatever way you decide it is important for the environment and with only 10% of all mobile phone users recycling the need for awareness is just as great.
